“I was trying to find my way back to the joy of photography and recently did an outback trip with my family. I got the camera out again, and while I was super proud of what I’d captured, I dreaded the editing once I got home. It had been a long time since I’d used Lightroom, and I just couldn’t do the images justice.
Julie’s online coaching was step-by-step and has truly given me back my joy in my images — they’re some of the best I’ve ever taken! The feedback and coaching video are resources I’ll go back to time and time again as I continue to explore the huge capabilities Lightroom offers.
I can’t recommend Julie enough — not only for her Lightroom editing help, but also for her valuable feedback on composition and ways to improve my photography in the field.I’ve found my photography mojo again, all thanks to this training.
Thanks, Julie — I’ll definitely be back after I’ve had some more fun applying what I’ve learned!“

“Thank you so much for the edited image and video. The result from such an underexposed image is quite remarkable. This shot was from I was using my bird settings with auto ISO. The editing video was really useful to watch. I use LR extensively in my bird photography so I was familiar with most of the techniques. It is clear though landscape is quite different. I have gained a lot of confidence from my landscape experience with you and am now looking forward to progressing my experience.“

You choose your preference but the first way will allow me to utilise time and fit more in the hour.
I think we all can agree that post production can be quite daunting when we are starting out and as software evolves and gathers momentum we can easily get left behind or feel that way. Post processing is a crucial part of great digital photography whether you’re a purist or like to push the boundaries a little or a lot you need a launch pad, a strong starting point. From there you choose how far, and how much you want to learn. It doesn’t have to be hard or take hours, that’s completely up to you and your journey. I am here simply to help and guide you along the way and keep it simple. Online training sessions will bring a new level of learning and exclusivity as well as convenience to everyone.

Another year for me judging the Wilderness Photographer of the Year — and wow, the standard was incredible, especially in the Nature category. I spent a long time deliberating over the final 15 images across the three categories, and the talent this year made it no easy task. This competition is a fantastic one to […]

Know your camera well, free your creativity. Knowing where and how to adjust your camera settings is one of the most valuable skills a photographer can have. Out in the field, conditions rarely stay the same for long—light shifts, clouds roll in, wildlife moves, or the scene unfolds faster than you expect. If you have […]
