Lake Eyre Tour 1st April 2016

all levels welcome………

A rare opportunity to see several areas of the Lake in flood. This one’s all about getting out amongst it at Lake Eyre and includes an epic scenic flight which will take you as far as the Warburton Groove, this will give you all the advantage of getting some great images from above the ground and a completely different perspective on the area. We will fly over all the major islands where birds congregate. It is looking amazing at the moment and is only getting better. We will also be visiting 2 different areas on the Lake from the comfort of my four wheel drive and this trip includes 1 night camping under the stars and a night shoot at my all time favourite location where I have captured several award winning images. There is water in this area at the moment. The other spot is another great location where salt meets rolling red sand dunes along the edge of the Lake. The contrast between the 2 locations will give you ample time to explore and opportunities to relax experiment and get some stunning images.

There will be time to visit a couple of other iconic spots out here also which include an old ruin and old wagon not to mention the bits and pieces of great camera fodder right in town.

We will have some time spare to have a critique session also and answer any questions you may have in general on processing.

Channel Country outback QLD

Channel Country, Outback Queensland – Colours, Patterns and Perspective The Channel Country in outback Queensland is one of Australia’s most quietly powerful photographic landscapes. Wilderness Photographer of the year Judge 2025

Another year for me judging the Wilderness Photographer of the Year — and wow, the standard was incredible, especially in the Nature category.
