Flinders Ranges South Australia Photo Tour June 2015

Dated: 28 June 2015

Having just finsihed a 5 day tour on the Flinders with a group of 5 people I must say it has been alot of fun and a great learning experience for all of us.

I have not laughed so much in years. Although the weather was a litlle hit and miss its the type of weather I normally head straight out for. You never know what your going to encounter when bad weather comes through but it generally presents something unique if you put the time in which we did. We had fun exploring creek lines and photographing trees which was the perfect light for these subjects. We had fun experimenting with different lenses and seeing things in black and white. We saw some amazing cloud formations when the weather broke and stunning light. We got close up to Euros and Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies and had the opportunity to visit an old shearing shed which allowed the creative juices to flow for everyone.

All in all we all had a ball and if you would like to join me on a tour sign up for my newsletter and be kept in the loop on whats coming up in the near future. I really hope to see you soon.

Channel Country outback QLD

Channel Country, Outback Queensland – Colours, Patterns and Perspective The Channel Country in outback Queensland is one of Australia’s most quietly powerful photographic landscapes. Wilderness Photographer of the year Judge 2025

Another year for me judging the Wilderness Photographer of the Year — and wow, the standard was incredible, especially in the Nature category.
